Motd's

I have extensively looked for a while now for some way to make my motd (message of the day), show in my server as a web page.

I used the text for a while and am now interested in stepping up to html.

I have the forum that ugh has provided and I am interested in having one of my forum pages being the motd. Example: http://clans.ultimategamehost.com/3cbcf ... 3ee914fabc
Then the player can browse the forum if they would like...

I was told to just put the web page link in the motd.txt and nothing else. That steam has an internal web browser that will take care of the rest...I have not yet been successful.

Does anyone have insight to specifically what to do?

Thank you for your help.

Re: Motd's

I believe you may need to do more than just the weblink. You will probably need a meta refresh with that link in the tag.

Please see example here:

That did not seem to work...checked it multiple times...
That link is from 2005 though, could there be something newer?

Re: Motd's

Should be all set. There were two issues: motd_text.txt needed to be motd.txt and it needed to have the HTML code within it.
